Even with Jonathan Stewart out, Panthers running back DeAngelo Williams has found it difficult to score this season. He finally broke the plane for his first touchdown of 2013 on Thursday night against the Buccaneers, bouncing out left for a 12-yard score in the second quarter.
DeAngelo Williams finally finds the end zone to help fantasy stats
In only took seven games, but DeAngelo Williams is now the proud owner of one touchdown in 2013. We break down the fantasy implications.

The Panthers’ starting running back finished the night with 43 yards on eight carries. He also caught one pass for eight yards on three targets.
Fantasy impact: Without that touchdown, it would've been a miserable night for the veteran running back. Mike Tolbert took seven carries, and Cam Newton rushed 11 times against the Bucs, leaving Williams somewhat out of the picture at times.
Stewart doesn’t appear close to playing, but if he does return, Williams’ value plummets. His goal line carries are limited by Tolbert and Newton, and he rarely brings much to the table in the receiving game. Consider him a low-end flex play at best against Atlanta in Week 9.
