Detroit Lions running back Reggie Bush scared fans when he suddenly missed practice on Friday. However, Bush is active for Week 8, proving his comments about the absence being “precautionary” to be true.
Reggie Bush active for fantasy owners in Week 8
As expected, the Lions will have their No. 1 running back in action against the Cowboys. We break down the fantasy implications.

Bush sat out due to a leg injury, which was not related to a previous knee ailment that forced him to miss time in Week 3. He will lead the Lions backfield against a Dallas Cowboys defense that allows 102 rushing yards per game.
Fantasy impact: ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported early Sunday morning that Bush was expected to play against Dallas, so his active status shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone. The Lions likely gave Bush a day off from practice just to ensure he was 100 percent for Sunday.
The Cowboys were stingy versus the run in Week 7. They held LeSean McCoy to 55 yards on 18 carries last Sunday. However, Alfred Morris finished with 5.1 yards per carry two weeks ago. Consider Bush a top 10 play once again.
