Arizona Cardinals running back Andre Ellington could be in for more touches sooner rather than later, according to Darren Urban of the team's official website. Head coach Bruce Arians said that he wants to increase Ellington's touches, but offensive coordinator Harlod Goodwin said that he doesn't want the rookie running back to get "beat up."
Andre Ellington could get more touches, becoming a strong fantasy play
Arizona Cardinals running back Andre Ellington could get more touches going forward. We break down the fantasy implications.

Ellington is a smaller running back and has a small frame to work with, so it makes sense to try and not use him like a bell cow. Urban speculates that Ellington could see more touches by being targeted more in the passing game. The Cardinals certainly need help in that vein, and getting Ellington working the pass sideline to sideline could be an interesting option.
On Sunday, Ellington had a huge game for Arizona. He gauged the Atlanta Falcons for 154 yards and a touchdown off of 15 carries. It was his highest carry and yardage total to date. He also caught two passes for eight yards. His best game receiving was against the Detroit Lions, when he had 42 yards through the air.
Fantasy Impact: Ellington earned himself more carries on Sunday, but he probably won’t carry the ball 25 times a game. If he starts being used more in the passing game, then great: that suits his skillset. But fantasy owners can expect him to get around the 15 carries he had against Atlanta and he should flourish in this role.
