Philadelphia Eagles head coach Chip Kelly has named Nick Foles the starting quarterback for the team's Week 9 matchup against the Oakland Raiders, according to Mike Garofolo of FOX Sports. Foles has been fully cleared to play after sustaining a concussion in Week 7.
Nick Foles to start for Eagles in Week 9, is solid fantasy option
Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Nick Foles will start for the team in Week 9. We break down the fantasy implications.

Foles was replacing an injured Michael Vick in that game, but had to be replaced by rookie Matt Barkley. Foles was playing poorly before that, completing just 11 of 29 passes for 80 yards with no touchdowns. Barkley did not fare any better, completing 11 of 20 passes for 129 yards with three interceptions.
Vick returned in Week 8, but again was injured, so Barkley had to play due to Foles’ concussion. Barkley performed slightly better, completing 17 of 26 passes for 158 yards and one interception. It sounds like Foles will practice all week and take the first-team reps en route to his starting role on Sunday.
Fantasy Impact: Foles was ineffective in Week 7, but he was good before that. In his first four appearances this season, he managed six touchdowns with no interceptions. He should be able to bounce back and is actually a solid option against the Oakland Raiders this week. That’s not just as a bye week option either. A big game could go far for Foles and his chances of keeping hold of the starting gig.
