New York Jets wide receiver Santonio Holmes (hamstring) practiced on his own on Wednesday, according to a report by Darryl Slater of the Newark Star-Ledger.
Santonio Holmes practices individually, still not ready for fantasy owners
The Jets wide receiver practiced for the first time in Weeks on Wednesday. We break down the fantasy implications.

Fantasy impact: Holmes hasn't played or practiced since injuring his hamstring way back in Week 4 against the Tennessee Titans. During that stretch of time, the Jets have seen a number of pass catchers go down with ailments including Stephen Hill (concussion, foot), Jeremy Kerley (illness) and Jeff Cumberland (concussion).
Combining all of these injuries with an inexperienced quarterback in Geno Smith is a recipe for fantasy mediocrity. Holmes also played in just four games last year due to injury and a suspension and the way things are going right now, it's hard to envision him scoring more than four or five touchdowns this year.
He's doubtful at best to play against the New Orleans Saints in Week 9, which is unfortunate considering Smith and the Jets will probably have to come from behind and pass the ball a lot, something you want to have happen if you own a Jets receiver in your fantasy league.
Holmes has generally been out for too long to be a factor in the fantasy world right now. He might be worth a late season add just to see if he can surprise some people.
