In his third-consecutive start of the season, Browns QB Brian Hoyer went down with an injury on the second series of Thursday Night Football. Hoyer needs an MRI on his right knee, and the fear is that he tore ligaments when he went to slide while taking a hit from Bills linebacker Kiko Alonso.
Brian Hoyer suffers knee injury, jeopardizes fantasy value
Just when the Browns were starting to roll, Brian Hoyer goes down early. We break down the fantasy implications.

Hoyer started the game 2-of-4 for 25 yards. He led the Browns to two consecutive wins after taking over for the injured Brandon Weeden.
Fantasy impact: Well, this is about what you would expect from Cleveland. Just when the team looks like it’s turning around, Hoyer is out of the picture in the blink of an eye. Alonso’s hit looked like it might have caused a head injury initially, but replays showed Hoyer’s knee getting caught under him while sliding.
Hoyer’s MRI is set for Friday. He did walk back to the locker room, but there isn’t a lot of optimism surrounding him at this point. Check on his status going forward, as Hoyer was turning into a decent fantasy option.
