After suffering a mild MCL sprain in Week 4, Fred Jackson showed no signs of the injury on Thursday night against the Browns. The veteran running back rushed for 53 yards and two touchdowns on 17 carries, adding four receptions for 40 yards to his stat line.
Fred Jackson pads fantasy stats with two touchdowns in Week 5
Fred Jackson managed two easy scores against the Browns. We break down the fantasy implications.

Both of Jackson’s touchdowns came from one yard out. He could have walked into the end zone on his second score.
Fantasy impact: Jackson must be in better shape than C.J. Spiller, who only took eight carries in Week 5. The Bills will likely continue to split the workload between those two backs going forward, too, barring any setbacks.
It might have been a result of Spiller’s banged up ankle, but Jackson was the one taking goal line carries. He’s been a pleasant surprise for owners who drafted him late this season and he should continue to pay off as a solid flex play.
