Willis McGahee rushed for 72 yards and a touchdown on 26 carries against the Bills in Week 5. The veteran running back found decent room to run early on and received multiple goal line touches on Thursday night.
Willis McGahee grinds out a decent fantasy night in Week 5
It wasn’t a flashy performance, but Willis McGahee scored his first touchdown as a Cleveland Brown on Thursday night. We break down the fantasy implications.

McGahee took 26 of the 28 carries in the Browns backfield. He’s the clear-cut starter for Cleveland after taking a couple of weeks to settle in.
Fantasy impact: Finishing with 2.8 yards per carry, it was clear McGahee wasn’t (and isn’t) going to blow anyone away. The Bills defense ranks toward the bottom of the league against the run, though, so it shouldn’t have surprised anyone that the Browns offensive line was opening up some room for McGahee to operate.
While the goal line carries are nice, McGahee isn’t a back who is going to provide more than spotty flex value at this point in his career. The Browns are not going to play the No. 27 run defense each and every week. Don’t get too excited about McGahee’s outing.
