The Lions’ top wide receiver Calvin Johnson is officially inactive for Week 5 against the Packers. He has been dealing with a knee injury, and despite returning to practice on Friday, Johnson will not suit up.
Calvin Johson inactive, off fantasy radar for Week 5
The Lions will battle the Packers without arguably the best wide receiver in the NFL. We break down the fantasy implications.

Johnson is frequently found on the Lions injury report, and he normally plays through most of his ailments. Ryan Broyles, Pat Edwards and Kris Durham are next in line on Detroit’s depth chart.
Fantasy impact: Owners have to be scrambling right now. Megatron rarely misses a game, and the Lions haven’t let much information out about his injury. The knee must be more serious than previously expected, because he battles through just about every week.
Durham caught a few passes last week, while Broyles didn’t record a single catch. These two will have to step up for Matthew Stafford against Green Bay. Look for Broyles in particular to get more involved, since the Lions need him badly. Reggie Bush also sees a huge boost in value, but the Packers will be focusing on him in particular. Joique Bell is also worth starting in most leagues for his receiving skills.
