Editor’s Note: Arian Foster’s is expected to be placed on injured reserve due to his back injury.
Arian Foster injury: Texans RB out for Sunday, fantasy owners should start Ben Tate
Arian Foster is out for Sunday’s game against the Arizona Cardinals. We break down the fantasy implications.

Houston Texans running back Arian Foster if officially declared out for the team's Week 10 game against the Arizona Cardinals. Foster has a back injury he sustained in Week 7 against the Kansas City Chiefs. He had a bye week to rest following that game.
Foster attempted to play in Week 9 against the Indianapolis Colts, but did not last a full series before he exited the game and did not return. He's reportedly seeking the opinions of multiple experts regarding his injury, and the possibility of him requiring surgery has been floated as well.
He's carried the ball 121 times for 542 yards and a touchdown this season, good for a per-carry average of 4.5 yards. The Texans do have a competent backup in Ben Tate, who carried the ball 88 times for 399 yards and a touchdown through eight games this season.
Fantasy Impact: Missing a single game is big for fantasy owners (and the Texans, too), but the worry that his injury might be more severe than previously thought is troubling. Hopefully, fantasy owners listened to our advice and grabbed Tate early on in the season, as he should be plenty productive and put up or best near-starter numbers.
