Houston Texans running back Arian Foster is expected to be placed on injured reserve with a back injury. We break down the fantasy implications.

Foster injured his back in Week 9 against the Indianapolis Colts. Foster removed after the first series of the game, and then sat out practice this week. Foster finishes the season with 542 rushing yards, 183 receiving yards and two total touchdowns.
Fantasy impact: Foster had already been ruled out for Week 10, so there are no surprises for this week. Moving forward, Ben Tate is the primary ball carrier, with Dennis Johnson serving as his backup. Tate is dealing with a rib injury that could limit his snaps, so Johnson does have some decent value in deeper leagues.
If you are considering Foster as a keeper option heading into next year, it is too early to tell exactly what this back surgery means.
