Torrey Smith finds end zone for fantasy owners in win

Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Torrey Smith was a rare source of production for his team's offense during a day where they struggled to capitalize.

Smith made a highlight-reel touchdown grab in the second quarter to put the Ravens up 17-0 as halftime neared. After making a play of that caliber, it was no surprise that quarterback Joe Flacco did everything he could to get the ball near Smith, who he often targeted deep, but was never able to connect with the speedy wideout for big gains. At the end of the game, Smith led the Ravens with five catches, 46 yards and a touchdown on 14 targets.

Fantasy Spin: The Ravens passing game has been up and down for most of the season, with an emphasis on "down" in recent weeks. Despite that, Smith is the clear favorite in the passing game for better or worse, and is still in line to rack up targets if nothing else. Fantasy owners are undoubtedly disappointed after Smith got off to such a hot start to the season, but he still warrants a slot as a reliable WR2 even after his regression. That remains the case next week when they face the Chicago Bears.
