Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers (broken collarbone) will not play against the New York Giants in Week 11, but says he is eyeing the team's Week 12 game against the Minnesota Vikings as a potential return date, according to ESPN's Jason Wilde. Rodgers suffered his injury on the opening drive of the team's Week 9 game against the Chicago Bears.
Aaron Rodgers ahead of schedule, good news for fantasy owners
The Packers quarterback won’t play in Week 11 as expected, but could return for Week 12. We break down the fantasy implications.

Fantasy Impact: Coach Mike McCarthy has already confirmed that third-stringer Scott Tolzien will start the team's Week 11 game against the Giants. Tolzien is only starting because teammate Seneca Wallace (foot) is also sidelined.
Though Rodgers seems focused on returning ahead of his initial four- to six-week timeline, coach McCarthy didn’t firmly agree with that timeline and still believes his offensive leader needs more time.
That said, playoff races are heating up and the Packers are battling the Chicago Bears and Detroit Lions for a division title.
Fantasy owners should note that the Bears' Jay Cutler (torn groin) and the Tennessee Titans' Jake Locker (hip) both returned ahead of schedule from pretty serious injuries earlier this season, so don't be surprised if Rodgers does indeed accomplish his goal of playing in Week 12, even if he's not fully healed.
