Pitta has been recovering from surgery on his injured hip all season, and the team is not rushing him back. However, he is participating in individual drills at this point, and if he can get back into contact drills, he could suit up for that Dec. 8 game against the Vikings.
Fantasy impact: Week 14 is right around the time when the fantasy playoffs start for most leagues. If you’re looking for a player to stash, Pitta is a great find. He’s available in 97 percent of Yahoo! leagues.
Tight end is not a deep position in 2013, so there are surely plenty of owners looking for answers. Pitta finished with 61 receptions and seven touchdowns last season. He’ll be in the TE2 range immediately when he returns.
