Houston Texans running back Dennis Johnson outplayed Ben Tate in a Week 12 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars, and the coaching staff took notice.
Dennis Johnson outplays Ben Tate in Week 12, increases fantasy football value
Gary Kubiak rode the hot hand in Week 12.

Tate only had one rushing yard on seven carries, clearing the way for Johnson to pick up 74 of the Texans’ 77 rushing yards. According to ESPN.com, Texans coach Gary Kubiak had planned on getting Johnson involved a little bit but had to stick with him when he saw how he was running the ball. The rookie had a career-high 15 touches and 87 total yards.
Fantasy spin: Johnson would be a worthwhile fantasy football running back going forward if the Texans’ offense were anything but a disappointment. Still, he has some value if Kubiak continues feeding him the football.
Any running back receiving the majority of his team’s carries is worth a look down the stretch in fantasy football. It’s time to add Johnson and hope he continues to ride this hot streak.
