Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers has been ruled out for Thanksgiving's game against the Detroit Lions. This will be his third consecutive game on the sidelines due to a broken collarbone. Matt Flynn will get his first start of the season with the Packers.

Rodgers is not going to play against the Detroit Lions on Thursday. We break down the fantasy implications.

Flynn took over during Sunday's game against the Minnesota Vikings and was productive with 21 of his 36 passes going for completions, accounting for 218 yards and a score in a 26-26 tie.
He famously had a 480-yard, six-TD game in his last start with the Packers back in 2011. Coincidentally, that did comes against the Lions.
Fantasy impact: A lot has changed for Flynn. He doesn't have the same weapons and this game does mean a lot to the Packers. The Lions should be able to put up some points against the Packers, so that and a dome environment make Flynn a desperation play in fantasy leagues. If you're not confident in your low-end QB1's matchup and want a little extra incentive to watch the early game on Thursday, it's not too bad of an idea to make the risky move. Aaron Rodgers can hopefully return in Week 14 against the Atlanta Falcons.
