The Week 13 matchup between the Green Bay Packers and the Detroit Lions could be an all-out Thanksgiving Day shootout. We've got all the fantasy projections for you courtesy of numberFire.
Green Bay Packers
Quarterback Aaron Rodgers (broken collarbone) practiced on Tuesday but still hasn't been cleared to play. That means that former Packers draft pick Matt Flynn should start against the Lions. He took the first-team reps in practice on Tuesday. In his first appearance of the season for the team in Week 12, Flynn completed 21 passes for 218 yards and a touchdown against the Minnesota Vikings in a game that ended in a tie.
Flynn will no doubt have to lean on running back Eddie Lacy against Detroit on Thursday. Lacy carried the ball 25 times for 110 yards and a touchdown in Week 12, and has been a workhorse when called upon for the Packers. He's about as steady a fantasy option as you can possibly ask for considering he's in his rookie season.
Detroit Lions
It's no secret that the leader of the Lions receiving corps is Calvin Johnson. That said, the team has to be happy to have Nate Burleson back in the lineup. Burleson caught seven passes for 77 yards and a touchdown against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last week. It was good to see him on the field after being sidelined since Week 4. He can move the chains down the field and is a slippery slot receiver who adds another dimension to a solid Lions offense.
The engine that drives that offense is quarterback Matthew Stafford. Admittedly, Stafford didn't have his best game going against the Buccaneers, throwing four interceptions. The team has now lost back-to-back games. Here's the thing from a fantasy perspective: he's very much a high-volume passer. Besides, the Packers secondary doesn't exactly boast the likes of Darrelle Revis and the game is in Detroit. Fantasy owners can bet on a big bounce-back game from Stafford this Thanksgiving.
