The Detroit Lions' defense has been a dicey fantasy play this season, but they came up big on Thanksgiving. The Lions sacked Matt Flynn seven times, picked him off once, recovered two fumbles and recorded a safety in a 40-10 laugher.
Lions’ defense pummels Packers in big fantasy day
The Lions’ defense made mincemeat of poor Matt Flynn, racking up seven sacks and a safety. We break down the fantasy implications.

Green Bay's offensive line had no answer for Detroit's defensive line. The Lions routinely crashed the pocket with simple four-man rushes, leaving Flynn a deer in headlights. Ziggy Ansah was an IDP star, recording two sacks, and Ndamukong Suh got the safety sack. The special teams also got a boost with Jeremy Ross recording 46 yards on punt returns.
Fantasy impact: The Packers look completely aimless without Aaron Rodgers under center, and Detroit capitalized in a big divisional win. Things won't be so easy in Week 14, when they take on the Eagles' offense led by red-hot Nick Foles. If you started the Lions' defense this week, pat yourself on the back, but look for other options next week.
