Green Bay Packers running back Eddie Lacy was held out of practice again on Thursday, but head coach Mike McCarthy had some encouraging words for his rookie tailback's availability.
Eddie Lacy sits out Thursday practice, fantasy owners remain in the dark
After injuring his ankle in Week 14, Eddie Lacy has not returned to practice this week. We break down the fantasy implications.

Per ESPN's Rob Demovsky, McCarthy "feels good" about Lacy, judging from the feedback of the team's medical staff, and noted that he will be reevaluated on Friday. Lacy has yet to practice this week after sustaining an ankle injury versus the Atlanta Falcons in Week 14, although he did return to the game after sitting out a series.
Fantasy Spin: It’s obvious that Lacy’s owners could do well with a backup in place, as he has the look of being a true game-time decision on Sunday. Also, with the Packers getting to a late 4:25 p.m. ET start on Sunday, fantasy owners would be playing with fire to leave him penned into the lineup.
Should Lacy get the nod, he is deserving of a top-10 rank for Week 15 versus a porous Dallas Cowboys defense that has allowed more fantasy points to running backs than any other team in 2013. James Starks would be in line to start in Lacy's place, and would be a high-upside RB2. Needless to say, Starks is a priority claim in leagues of 10 teams or more.
