It’s looking like a “next man up” situation in Minnesota. We break down the fantasy implications.

Asiata has been a special teams player throughout 2013. A former undrafted free agent, he will face the Eagles No. 16 run defense.
Fantasy impact: Desperation, thy name is Asiata. If you’re in need of help at running back and you’re willing to take a complete roll of the dice, Asiata is worth a look. He rushed for a pedestrian 67 yards on 19 carries in preseason play. Last sesaon he finished with nine yards on three carries.
There is no track record to go off here, which makes him a risky play. Gerhart averaged 5.9 yards per carry when he stepped in against the Baltimore Ravens last week. The Vikings know how to run the ball. Take that for what it’s worth. There’s no telling what the workload will be like, either.
