In other words, McGahee is likely to play on Sunday. The Steelers are still technically in the running for the final spot in the AFC playoffs, and the Browns can play spoiler if they manage a win. Unfortunately, the Browns have not been very good this season and neither has McGahee.
McGahee did not get any snaps against against the Chicago Bears in Week 15 or the New York Jets in Week 16. In Week 14, he had 14 carries for a paltry 33 yards against the New England Patriots.
Fantasy Impact: On the season, McGahee has just 138 carries for 377 yards with two touchdowns. That’s a per-carry average of just 2.7 yards. McGahee has not been a productive fantasy running back and if you’ve depended on him to this point and you happen to be playing meaningful fantasy football at this point ... how? If you plan on depending on him, it’s worth noting that he’s likely to play. But he should have been released a long time ago from a production standpoint.
