Fantasy Impact: Cruz's season has been a relative disappointment and he's struggled along with the rest of the Giants offense. Cruz will finish the year with 73 receptions for 998 yards and four touchdowns. Its tough for even a receiver as good as Cruz to overcome the New York's struggles on offense and quarterback Eli Manning's league-high 26 interceptions. His surgery is considered to be minor and he is expected to make a full recovery before training camp. Rueben Randle is now starting opposite Hakeem Nicks and Jerrel Jernigan has taken over as the slot receiver.
The Redskins porous defense presents a favorable match up and Jernigan is a likely free agent in most leagues that offers some upside. He finished last week’s game in the role with six catches for 80 yards and one touchdown. Jernigan is a decent flex play.
