Cecil Shorts caught two passes for 13 yards and a touchdown in Week 14 against the Houston Texans. He was targeted six times on Thursday night, which tied him for second on the team.
Cecil Shorts finds end zone to salvage fantasy Week 14
It wasn’t a memorable night for Shorts, but he at least scored another touchdown. We break down the fantasy implications.

After enduring a six-game scoring drought, Shorts has now found the end zone in back-to-back weeks. His 13 receiving yards, though, were a season-low.
Fantasy impact: Shorts doesn’t appear to be complaining anymore, but he wasn’t as involved in the Jaguars offense this week. He was targeted 23 times over the last two games. Poor quarterback play from Chad Henne and an early lead likely led to fewer balls thrown Shorts’ way this time.
Consider Shorts in the WR3 next week against the Buffalo Bills. We know he has the ability to post impressive fantasy numbers, especially for PPR owners, but it’s hard to put full confidence in any receiver with Henne under center.
