Arizona Cardinals head coach Bruce Arians said Andre Ellington “looked back to normal” this week. After practicing on Thursday and Friday, the rookie running back is now expected to play in Week 14, according to Adam Schefter.
Andre Ellington expected back for fantasy owners in Week 14
Rashard Mendenhall will be battling for touches with Andre Ellington back in action. We break down the fantasy implications.

Rashard Mendenhall saw 18 carries with Ellington out last week, but the two running backs should return to splitting time against the St. Louis Rams.
Fantasy impact: The Rams rank No. 28 in fantasy points allowed to opposing running backs. That would normally bode well for owners, but it’s hard to get overexcited about Ellington’s role. He is still a part-time player.
If you need help at running back this week, consider Ellington as a flex play at best. Until he becomes more of a full-time back, you can’t value him more than that. His explosive ability makes him an enticing start against the Rams’ defense, but be wary of Mendenhall getting goal line carries to take away some of his value.
