But the biggest complaint about him: he only had 11 receptions last season, for just 77 yards and no touchdowns. Mike Shanahan likes his running backs to be able to catch the ball, and that has been a point of focus for Morris this offseason. He’s been working on his hands, and if that improves, it could open up a whole new dynamic for the Washington offense.
Fantasy Impact: Morris was more than effective as a rookie and has been a high pick by fantasy owners because of this. That said, many are wary that he will hit a wall in his sophomore season and want to see more before they crown him as a must-have option in the first round. Improving all of the areas outlined above can only keep him on the field for longer and improve his production, however. He is probably a solid option going forward.
