Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning has indicated that running back Montee Ball will be the primary ballcarrier in his rookie year. The Broncos have been rotating between Ball, Ronnie Hillman and Knowshon Moreno in the preseason, but Manning believes that Ball will get plenty of playing time. From the Denver Post:
Montee Ball to get plenty of action, fantasy value on the rise?
Peyton Manning says that rookie running back Montee Ball “is going to play a lot.” We break down the fantasy implications.

“We have some young players, we have some first-year starters, potentially at tight end, and we’re going to have a young running back. Montee Ball is going to play a lot.”
Ball took snaps with the first team offense in practice this week. Hillman fell behind after losing another fumble in the third preseason game.
Fantasy impact: The Broncos look to continue running a committe backfield in the regular season, but so far it sounds like Ball will get the majority of carries. The Broncos plan on passing less after leading the league with 37 pass attempts a game last season, and Ball could be the primary beneficiary of that move. He’s worth drafting as a flex option in the mid rounds. Hillman’s fantasy value is dropping by the week.
