Buffalo Bills quarterback E.J. Manuel is still working his way back from a knee scope. He's working out in practice, but still has yet to resume throwing. Head coach Doug Marrone says he wants to see Manuel play in three consecutive practice sessions. The Bills have five practices before Their season opener against the New England Patriots.
E.J. Manuel still not throwing, not a fantasy factor in Week 1
E.J. Manuel is hoping to be ready for Week 1, but the coaches want to see him in three straight practices first. We break down the fantasy implications.

If Manuel isn't ready to play, undrafted rookie Jeff Tuel will get the start. The Bills also signed Matt Leinart and traded for Thaddeus Lewis to fill out the depth chart.
Fantasy impact: Manuel was never more than a late-round flier, but if he can't suit up for Week 1 he should be falling off draft boards completely. The Bills quarterback situation is a fantasy quagmire right now. This is bad news for Stevie Johnson owners, but C.J. Spiller should see plenty of work in the early going. Spiller is locked in as a top 10 overall pick.
