Andy Dalton posts a modest 280 yards and a touchdown for fantasy owners in deeper leagues
The Bengals signal caller aired it out 45 times in the team’s 20-10 victory over the Steelers on Monday night. We break down the fantasy implications.

From the start, the Bengals deployed a pass-heavy attack versus the Steelers, as Dalton had already attempted 32 passes by halftime. Despite that, Dalton was inaccurate, having several throws sail on him as he struggled to get into a rhythm. He targeted A.J. Green a game-high 14 times as expected, but spread the ball out liberally, completing passes to seven different receivers. His lone touchdown pass came on a checkdown to running back Gio Bernard.
Fantasy Spin: If this pass-heavy play calling remain a trend, Dalton could continue having value as a QB2 going forward and a sneaky spot-starter versus weaker secondaries. He has one of those matchups coming up versus the Packers in Week Three, but with no other teams on a bye week, Dalton's better suited for a bench spot in all standard formats.
