Tyler Eifert caught three passes for 66 yards in the Bengals' 20-10 win versus the Steelers on Monday night.
Tyler Eifert posts 66 yards versus Steelers, but fantasy value remains minimal for now
The Bengals’ first-round pick made a big splash with a 61-yard grab versus the Steelers on Monday night. We break down the fantasy implications.

Eifert proved to be an effective mismatch while lined up in bunch formations, often breaking free over the middle. The highlight of Eifert’s night came on a 61-yard catch and run that he nearly took to the house for a touchdown. Despite the big play and his ability to get open, Eifert saw just five of Andy Dalton’s 45 pass attempts.
Fantasy Spin: Eifert will never be the primary receiving target on an offense with A.J. Green on it, but the Bengals coaches have shown they are committed to keeping their first-round pick involved in the mix. For a rookie still getting his feet wet, that bodes well, even if he isn't posting monster numbers out of the gate. Eifert is not start-worthy in most leagues due to such a depth at the position as a whole, though it wouldn't be surprising if he had a big game next week versus the Packers. But for now, other options should be plugged in at TE1 while Eifert proves himself.
