The veteran back returned to Cardinals practice on Friday after dealing with a toe injury that kept him out of practice earlier in the week. As a result, Mendenhall will be placed atop the depth chart once again and will receive the bulk of the carries among a crowded Cardinals backfield.
Fantasy Spin: Mendenhall's been an underwhelming, but serviceable flex option this season, and there's some added promise this week as he faces a banged-up Saints defense. In what will likely be a high-scoring affair in The Superdome, Mendenhall would be the main beneficiary of goal-to-go situations, and his owners can look forward to the veteran back having a good chance of maximizing his projected 15-18 touches. In standard-scoring leagues, Mendenhall would be a solid flex play with potential RB2 upside.
