New England Patriots wide receiver Kenbrell Thompkins scored a pair of touchdowns in the first half against the Buccaneers, pleasing fantasy owners despite totaling just two catches for 21 yards. He was targeted on three of Tom Brady's 19 attempts in the first 30 minutes.
Kenbrell Thompkins scores two TDs in the first half, fantasy value on the upswing
Kenbrell Thompkins became Tom Brady’s buddy in the first half on Sunday. We break down the fantasy implications.

Thompkins took the ball in from about 16 yards out on his first score, taking a short pass to the end zone, then caught a five-yard score on a crossing route at the goal line. They’re the first two touchdowns of his NFL career.
After Thompkins and Brady failed to find rhythm in Week 1, completing just 4-of-14 targets, they’re starting to figure it out. Brady was pumped on the first TD and could be leaning more to Thompkins in the second half.
Fantasy impact: It's hard to really like KT for the future, even with the nice early effort Sunday. The Patriots are going to get Rob Gronkowski and Danny Amendola back as soon as next week, so the targets aren't going to be coming in bunches going forward. He still has to be owned in all leagues as the best bet to produce on the outside.
