Joique Bell tallies 132 total yards and a touchdown, asserts high short-term fantasy value
Joique Bell shouldered the load in Reggie Bush’s absence in the Lions’ 27-20 win over the Redskins. We break down the fantasy implications.

Bell was involved early and often in Reggie Bush’s absence, catching passes and monopolizing the backfield in a game where the Lions had little issue moving the football. Bell made his day worthwhile after breaking free on a route and picking up 37 yards while breaking tackles, and powered his way into the end zone on a 12-yard run later in the drive. Bell finished with 20 carries for 63 yards and a touchdown, and caught four passes for 69 yards on five targets.
Fantasy Spin: It was a big day for Bell versus a Redskins defense that has now given up more yards in the first three games than any other team in NFL history. Unfortunately, Bell's value is likely to take a hit after tallying 23 points in PPR leagues this week, since Bush is likely to return versus the Bears. Owners in need of a flex play could do worse than Bell in Week Four, though expectations of a similar game as he had versus the Redskins are not advised.
