Texans running back Arian Foster had 13 touches in the team’s loss to the Ravens, while his teammate Ben Tate touched the ball 12 times. We break down the fantasy implications.

Foster ran the ball with efficiency in the game’s early stages, but was quickly eliminated from the game plan after the Ravens returned an interception and a punt for touchdowns in less than two minutes. With the large deficit, Foster could not get into his usual rhythm as the Texans were forced to play catch-up.
Fantasy Spin: Being behind by multiple scores is never a good thing for running backs in fantasy, and that's what happened with Foster. Furthermore, the disparity in touches with him and Ben Tate inched as close to 50-50 as it has been all season, as Foster narrowly edged his backfield counterpart in touches, 13-12.
The disparity in the quality of the Texans run game is also not very big when comparisons between the two backs are made. That's a trend that doesn't favor Foster's future, and the dreaded timeshare could undermine Foster's value going forward. That may be a moot point in Week Four with the Seahawks coming to town, as there may not be much room for either back to run.
