Miles Austin injury update: Avoids serious injury, still in doubt for fantasy in Week 4
Miles Austin is day-to-day with a hamstring injury. We break down the fantasy implications.

He left Sunday’s game with his usual hamstring strain and did not return. His stat line was an ugly one with just two catches and 22 yards before exiting. The 10-catch game in Week 1 seems like a distant memory.
Austin has been dealing with hamstring issues since way back in the 2011 offseason. He spent time working out this summer to work on strengthening his hamstring, then he even missed some preseason time to rest it.
Fantasy impact: While it’s good news that he’s avoided a lengthy absence, this news sends up a massive red flag. Perhaps no player in the NFL is more closely associated to a particular injury than Austin and hamstrings, so the deck could be stacked against him to stay healthy. His fantasy value is just too low to try and trade, which means owners can just stash him until he gets things turned around. Owners in shallow leagues could look to move on for a hot free agent. Dwyane Harris figures to benefit should Austin miss time.
