There are some situations that are just too messy to predict and even some people who like to go out on a limb might be apprehensive to do so. That’s the case in St. Louis with its running game.
Fantasy football start/sit advice, TNF: Daryl Richardson, Isaiah Pead
Should you think about starting the Rams running backs in Thursday night’s divisional game against the 49ers?

Daryl Richardson was running away with the starting job in the preseason, but he has been trending down since the opener. While dealing with a foot issue, he saw just two snaps and didn't play at all in the second half against Dallas in Week 3. Interestingly, D-Rich was at practice on Wednesday, which makes even less sense and calls into question whether the Rams trust him.
In Week 2, Richardson dropped a pass at Atlanta that led to a pick-six, which subsequently may have cost the Rams a road win against a tough team. Since then, there has been a clear lack of confidence in the second-year back. Isaiah Pead has been getting more snaps and he saw most of the action in the ugly 31-7 loss to the Cowboys. The snap counts will be interesting to monitor since Richardson looks to be healthy.
Fantasy impact: These aren’t the droids you’re looking for. It’s a fiasco on several fronts. The matchup and murkiness of the backfield rotation suggests that there’s nothing to like, plus the Rams aren’t running the ball well at all. Although, Pead and Richardson should remain owned in all leagues.
