After failing to find the end zone the last two weeks, Frank Gore broke off his longest run of the year on Thursday night for his second touchdown of 2013. Gore finished with 153 yards rushing on 20 carries against the Rams. His 34-yard score in the second quarter was his best highlight of the night.
Frank Gore starts fantasy week off with a bang
The Rams didn’t have much success containing Frank Gore on Thursday Night Football. We break down the fantasy implications.

Gore’s Thursday night total outgained his previous three performances this season. He now has 295 rushing yards on the season.
Fantasy impact: For any owners who bought low on Gore after Week 2 or 3, you look like a genius in your league now. Gore’s breakout was inevitable, and considering how badly DeMarco Murray gashed the Rams last week, it was no surprise that the 49ers star running back ran wild.
Gore could have done even more damage. He took a goal line carry in the fourth quarter, but after he came up just short, Anthony Dixon came in to vulture the score. San Francisco faces a tougher matchup with Houston next week, but Gore remains a clear-cut RB1 when he’s running like this.
