Peterson’s performance was highlighted by a 60-yard touchdown run early in the second quarter. For the first time this season, Peterson was held without a catch.
Fantasy impact: The performance was boosted primarily by the 60-yard run, but Peterson still had a solid performance aside from the big touchdown run. Nobody likes boom-or-bust running backs, but with Peterson, the boom performances come much more frequently. Even without the big run, he still put up 80 yards and a touchdown. Peterson hasn’t shown his 2012 dominance, but he remains one of the best running backs out there.
The Vikings will be on bye for the coming week, as is par for the course for teams playing in London. The NFL played the extra London game a bit early, so thankfully Peterson owners get the bye week out of the way early. Peterson and the Vikings return to action in Week 6 at home against the Carolina Panthers.
