Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford threw for 242 passing yards and a touchdown to go with one interception in a 40-32 Week 4 winning over the Chicago Bears. Stafford was staked to a big lead early in the contest and could afford to be conservative for the most part.
Matthew Stafford does just enough to beat Bears, average for fantasy owners
The Lions’ franchise quarterback did just enough against the Bears in Week 4. We discuss the fantasy implications.

Fantasy impact: Bears quarterback Jay Cutler threw three interceptions against the Lions defense and was forced to come from behind in the second half to make the final score respectable.
When you combine that with the fact that Reggie Bush ran for 139 yards on 18 carries and a touchdown, which equals out to 7.7 yards per carry, Stafford really didn't need to do much to secure the victory for the Lions.
Although Stafford’s performance won’t necessarily put him among the top three in fancy production among quarterbacks for Week 4, it’s fair to say that his owners should be satisfied as Stafford did well enough to secure the win for Detroit.
In Week 5, Stafford in the Lions travel to Green Bay to play the Packers in a match that that should be high-scoring and feature a lot of throwing from Stafford and his Green Bay counterpart Aaron Rodgers. Green Bay isn't known for its pass defense so fantasy owners should start Stafford without question.
