Detroit Lions running back Reggie Bush ran for 139 yards on just 18 carries and scored his first touchdown of the season in the team's Week 4 win over the division rival Chicago Bears. Bush also added five receptions for 34 yards in the game.
Reggie Bush returns with a bang for fantasy owners
The Lions’ best running back played very well in his return to the lineup in Week 4. We discuss the fantasy implications.

Fantasy impact: Bush’s performance against the Bears wasn’t predicted for many reasons, not the least of which is how good the Bears have been defensively in recent history.
Bush’s performance in Week 4 represents a 7.7 yards per carry average, which is outstanding given the reputation of the opposing team’s run defense. Fantasy owners are definitely smiling at the fact that Bush returned from injury and looked fantastic in Week 4.
Another good sign for fantasy owners of Bush is that teammate Joique Bell only managed 12 yards on seven carries. Bell has been one of the great surprises of the fantasy football world this season however, so it's not as if the results in Week 4 necessarily change the long-term outlook in the Lions' backfield.
In Week 5 Bush and the Lions head to Lambeau Field to face the Green Bay Packers, a team that is considered mediocre defensively. Look for Bush to put up solid numbers again if the Lions hope to walk out of Wisconsin with a victory. If you own Bush in your fantasy league, keep rolling with him now that he's back and healthy.
