San Diego Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers had one of the best games of his career in a 30-21 win over the Dallas Cowboys in Week 4. Rivers completed 35 of 42 passes for 401 yards and three touchdowns in a convincing home victory.
Philip Rivers floods the fantasy scoreboard against the Cowboys
The Chargers’ quarterback was at his best in a win over the Cowboys in Week 4. We discuss the fantasy implications.

Fantasy impact: if you’re one of those lucky fantasy owners that started Rivers in Week 4, there’s a good chance you laughed your way to victory on the arm of the Chargers’ veteran leader.
After struggling for the better part of the last two seasons, Rivers has shown signs of his old fantasy form this year. Prior to the game against the Cowboys, Rivers had thrown eight touchdowns compared to only one interception, which is a much more efficient ratio than we’re used to seeing from him.
Tight end Antonio Gates helped his quarterback a lot in the game, catching all 10 of the passes that Rivers directed his way throughout the contest. Running back Danny Woodhead stepped up with an efficient performance as well, managing two touchdowns on just 10 touches.
Going into Week 5, Rivers will face an Oakland Raiders pass defense that gives up the tent walls points to fantasy quarterbacks. Given how well he's playing of late, but fantasy owners should not hesitate to start Rivers.
