Fantasy impact: Woodhead definitely made the most of his opportunities, rewarding his fantasy owners with a lot more production than they probably expected out of him. Although he hasn't been as big a name in the fantasy community as teammate Ryan Mathews over the years, Woodhead has proved to be the more effective pass catcher of the two, notching 22 receptions of season compared to Mathews' seven.
Overall, quarterback Philip Rivers was spreading the love and picking the Dallas Cowboys apart offensively and Woodhead's touchdowns for the most part will come few and far between throughout the season in comparison to other top fantasy running backs.
The good news for Woodhead’s fantasy owners is that his hands are very reliable and he rarely drops a pass, so he can make an impact on a game with just a few looks.
Woodhead will be in tough going into the Chargers' Week 5 matchup against the Oakland Raiders, who have given up the third fewest fantasy points to running backs this season. His fantasy owners probably have someone ahead of him on their depth chart already, but if it just so happens you don't, even want to explore other options in your backfield.
