The New England Patriots pulled out a big road win over the Atlanta Falcons, and even managed to get solid production from their running backs. Unfortunately for fantasy football owners, the running back by committee remains murkier than ever. Stevan Ridley finished with 11 carries for 53 yards, and two catche sfor 26 yards. LeGarrette Blount finished with nine carries for 64 yards and a touchdown. Brandon Bolden finished with six carries for 17 yards.
Stevan Ridley, LeGarrette Blount, Brandon Bolden split fantasy workload
The New England Patriots running back situation is a mess with Stevan Ridley, LeGarrette Blount and Brandon Bolden all getting valuable touches. We break down the fantasy implications.

Fantasy impact: This situation is officially a quagmire for fantasy owners, and I imagine Bill Belichick could not care less. His Patriots remain undefeated, and he is getting some solid production. This also means, your guess is as good as anybody when it comes to which running back to start.
Blount finished strong, but even he was getting spelled at times late by Ridley. Blount got the big work on the Patriots final scoring drive, but on the ensuing Patriots drive, Ridley got the first touch, and Blount followed him. Bolden appears to have slipped down to third in the rotation, but that only provides limited clarity.
The Patriots head into Cincinnati for a big Week 5 matchup, and it is safe to say you should not start any of the Patriots running backs unless you are in an incredibly deep league. Ridley entered the season as the apparent number one, but he has not been able to secure the job. He is no more than a flex player until he proves he can do something consistently.
