Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Mike Glennon struggled in his debut on Sunday. We break down the fantasy implications.

With less than four minutes to go, the Buccaneers were ahead and well on their way to victory. But Glennon elected to go deep to his receiver on a second-and-6 play that ended up being intercepted by Cardinals cornerback Patrick Peterson. The Cardinals scored on the ensuing drive, and eventually took the lead after Glennon took a sack at his own 1-yard line and Arizona clearly won the field position battle.
Peterson struck again on the next Tampa Bay possession, picking off a deep pass from Glennon to seal the victory for Arizona and tarnishing Glennon’s first start in the NFL. Glennon finished having completed 24 of 43 passes for 193 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions.
Fantasy Impact: Glennon’s start carried more mystery than anything else for fantasy owners. He had some boom-or-bust potential, and for that game specifically, it was definitely bust. But expecting him to put up huge numbers so soon would have been foolish, regardless. Glennon absolutely should not be one of your top options, but if it’s a two-quarterback league, rookies have recovered from much worse performances.
