Fantasy football projections, Week 6: Broncos-Jets featuring Peyton Manning, Demaryius Thomas and Christopher Ivory
We break down the Week 6 matchup between the Denver Broncos and the New York Jets.

Denver Broncos
Quarterback Peyton Manning destroyed the Arizona Cardinals in Week 5. Not only did he throw four touchdown passes, he passed for a career-high 479 yards. Considering he did whatever he wanted against one of the league's best defenses, Manning should have no problem dominating Jets. Although they have a good defense, they just can't move the ball offensively. It will be only a matter of time before Manning is able to wear down the Jets' secondary.
That could mean another monster performance from wide receiver Demaryius Thomas, who received a whopping 16 times last week and caught eight of those passes for 226 yards and a pair of touchdowns. He's an elite fantasy receiver with the best quarterback in the NFL throwing the ball. Thomas should have every opportunity to dominate again on Sunday.
New York Jets
It seems like no matter who is playing quarterback for the Jets, the team is in a state of distress. That was especially evident last week in a 31-0 loss to the San Diego Chargers. Both Geno Smith and Michael Vick performed so poorly in the losing effort that head coach Rex Ryan is basically being forced to choose between the lesser of two evils heading into Week 6. That likely means Smith will indeed start the game, and if the contest gets out of hand early, he could throw up a lot of pass attempts, which could work out great for any fantasy owner willing to take a chance on him.
When Smith is looking for a receiver down the field, there's no doubt he will look in the direction of Eric Decker, who wasn't able to play in Week 5 due to a nagging hamstring injury. He did practice this week, and there's no doubt that he wants to play against his former team. That means he will probably start, and he may put up a solid fantasy stat line, particularly because the Jets will likely be playing from behind most of the afternoon. Fantasy owners should take a chance and start Decker in a game that could yield huge numbers due to high volumes of passing on both teams.
