Fantasy football projections, Week 6: Washington-Cardinals featuring DeSean Jackson, Andre Ellington and Larry Fitzgerald
We break down the Week 6 matchup between Washington and the Arizona Cardinals.

Washington
Washington looked over-matched as it hosted the Seattle Seahawks on Monday Night Football in Week 5, but wide receiver DeSean Jackson was still able to put up big time numbers in the game. He did it in typical fashion for a receiver of his ability, totaling 157 receiving yards and a touchdown and needing only five catches to do it. A receiver as fast and as good as finding open space as Jackson is can do a lot of damage with only a few catches. He'll look to do the same against the Cardinals, who are known for their defense, but at the same time gave up a lot of points to the Denver Broncos last week.
When Washington runs the ball, it will need Alfred Morris to step his game up. The running back has just 92 yards and a touchdown over the last two games combined. That said, he amassed those totals on 25 carries. Add that to the fact the Cardinals boast a depleted offensive attack, and the contest may be a lot closer than it should be, which means Washington won't have to abandon Morris and the running game the way it has had to at other times during the season.
Arizona Cardinals
The Cardinals defense is considered one of the best in the NFL, but judging by last week, no one would have been able to tell that to the Denver Broncos, who put up 41 points in a blowout victory over the Cardinals. Running back Andre Ellington was the biggest bright spot in the game for Arizona. He made a heck of a play on an 81-yard touchdown catch with the game out of reach that saw him tiptoe the sidelines and make a nice cutback to get into the endzone. In total, he touched the ball 20 times and yielded 144 yards of offense and two scores in the game. He will be relied on heavily against Washington.
That's because starting quarterback Carson Palmer (shoulder) is still not ready to return to the lineup, and backup Drew Stanton exited last week's game due to a concussion. That leaves third stringer Logan Thomas as the team's leading passer going into Week 6. Thomas will probably be at his best throwing screen passes and quick slants on Sunday, which could mean a lot of work for Ellington and wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald, who has made living out of catching quick slant passes. He only caught three passes on seven targets last week, however. Fantasy owners will have to hope that Thomas can overcome rookie jitters in his first career start, or it could be a long day for Cardinal receivers.
