The Minnesota Vikings finally played a legitimate defense on Sunday against the Detroit Lions and were embarrassed, losing 17-3 at home.
Vikings fantasy football recap: Teddy Bridgewater doesn’t look good
The Vikings were horrible on Sunday. We break down the fantasy implications.

The Lions sacked quarterback Teddy Bridgewater eight times and picked him off three times. Meanwhile, their running backs couldn't do much and clearly their previous three games against the Green Bay Packers, Atlanta Falcons and New Orleans Saints were just friendly matchups.
Teddy Bridgewater
This was bad. As mentioned above, the Vikings couldn’t protect him and the rookie was sacked eight times. Bridgewater had to rush three times for 11 yards, which hardly offset his 188 passing yards on 23 of 37 attempts. That’s good for an adjusted YPA of 5.1. Yeah, not good.
The Vikings just have nothing on offense and things aren’t going to get any better. Bridgewater is a low-end QB2 at best.
He got the start today, rushing for 40 yards on 11 attempts to go with six catches for 42 yards. He had almost half of the team’s touches today and it would appear Minnesota is ready to give him a bigger role.
The Vikings are not going to be great or anything, but a starting running back is worth owning in all leagues. He's a high-upside RB2 next week against the Buffalo Bills.
The Vikes finally pushed the underwhelming talent of Asiata down the depth chart and it cost him some production, rushing for -5 yards and catching one ball for 18 yards.
This move was a long time coming and it’s probably going to stick. Fantasy owners can probably cut Asiata and hopefully they already have McKinnon on their roster.
Remember when he was supposed to break out? Yeah, well that’s probably not going to happen. The Vikings just have nothing to offer on offense and Bridgewater can’t get him the ball. Patterson’s hip injury may have bothered him and he was able to muster just two catches for 15 yards. He also had just one carry for 2 yards. Again, not good.
Fantasy owners probably can’t look to trade him because his value is just that low. He’s more of a WR4 right now.
