It hadn't been a great couple weeks for the Carolina Panthers on offense. They can't get their running game going and have lost several running backs. Well, that all changed in Week 6 in a 37-37 tie.
Panthers fantasy football recap: Cam Newton explodes
Cam Newton carried the offense on Sunday. We break down the fantasy implications.

Quarterback Cam Newton hasn't been the same player and didn't have any rushing touchdowns before today. That explains why they have struggled.
It was the Cam Newton Show today in what was expected to be a tough matchup for him. He was a dual threat with his 107 rushing yards on 17 carries to go with 284 passing yards. Newton added a rushing touchdown and two passing scores.
He had a rib injury earlier in the season, but apparently was feeling much better today. Newton had been a massive disappointment so far and really didn't have a big game before this one. Obviously fantasy owners are going to start him next week against the Green Bay Packers in Week 7.
He scored his first NFL touchdown today on his way to 25 rushing yards on nine carries. Whittaker added two catches for 27 yards and seems to be well ahead of Darrin Reaves. Of course, there’s still no reason to own him because Cam is going to get a ton of carries, including the goal line work.
He looked good today and caught seven of his eight targets with the one incomplete coming on a ball that was nowhere near him. Benjamin had 49 receiving yards and one score. It was the second time in his career without a catch of at least 20 yards, which has really been his bread and butter.
With Cam healthy, Benjamin should be ready to go and will be a strong WR2 the rest of the way.
Cam likes Olsen. He targeted him a team-high 11 times for six catches, 62 yards and one score. Olsen has been hot all season and has five scores with five games of 60 or more receiving yards. It’s clear he’s a TE1 and shows no signs of slowing down.
He’ll be a must-start player against the Packers next week.
