Carolina Panthers running back DeAngelo Williams is expected to miss "a couple" more weeks, according to Joe Person of The Charlotte Observer. Williams has been injured for most of the season and has been out since suffering a high ankle sprain against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 4. He's played in just two games thus far -- the opener against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the aforementioned Ravens game.
DeAngelo Williams expected to miss ‘a couple’ more weeks; no fantasy value at this point
DeAngelo Williams is expected to miss a couple more weeks with his injury. We break down the fantasy implications.

Williams has 25 carries for 106 yards in those two games. Carolina's running game is struggling without him, as they average just 86.8 rushing yards per game (28th in the league). It certainly doesn't help that Jonathan Stewart has also been dealing with an injury and hasn't played since Week 3 against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Cam Newton currently leads the Panthers with 149 rushing yards and a touchdown.
Fantasy Impact: At this point, Williams has probably already been dropped by fantasy owners. Stewart has also probably been dropped by many fantasy owners. Darrin Reaves and Fozzy Whittaker were the backbone of Carolina's running back rotation on Sunday. But it was Newton who led the way, with 17 rushes for 107 yards and a touchdown. Williams might have fantasy value when he comes back but at this point, nobody knows when that will be.
