San Francisco 49ers tight end Vernon Davis is active for Monday Night Football against the St. Louis Rams. He was a game-time decision due to a back injury suffered in Week 4. Davis did not play in Week 5 and missed time earlier this season due to an ankle injury.
Vernon Davis is active and has fantasy value for Monday Night Football
Vernon Davis will give it a go for Monday Night Football in St. Louis. We break down the fantasy implications.

He was limited in practice all week, so he may not be 100 percent, despite being active. San Francisco hasn’t received a lot of production from tight end with Davis, Derek Carrier and Vance McDonald combining for 17 catches and 190 receiving yards.
The Rams have a very good safety in T.J. McDonald while Alec Ogletree and James Laurinaitis are two of the better middle linebackers in the NFL. The combination of a difficult matchup and a lingering injury could limit Davis' production.
Fantasy impact: If you have him, you probably have him in your lineup unless you have Jared Cook as a backup plan. Davis doesn't have a huge upside, but he's a better play than Cook because the 49ers have been great on D so far this season.
