The Cincinnati Bengals placed wide receiver Marvin Jones on injured reserve on Tuesday, ending his season. Jones was dealing with a foot/ankle injury that both player and team thought could eventually be overcome without surgery. At this point, he's now expected to get the surgery after seeing a specialist.
Marvin Jones to injured reserve; Mohamed Sanu already an important fantasy option
Marvin Jones was placed on injured reserve on Tuesday. We break down the fantasy implications.

Jones has had foot problems since the beginning of training camp. He originally sprained his ankle and eventually broke his foot, and right around Week 5, he suffered a setback in practice and here we are. Jones is a solid receiver with a lot of potential, but the Bengals will now be banking on that potential being shown next season.
With A.J. Green also dealing with a significant injury, Cincinnati couldn't keep both receivers on the roster and on the inactive list. They simply need more bodies at the position.
Fantasy Impact: Jones has been replaced by Mohamed Sanu for much of the season, though he's now the No. 1 guy with Green missing time. Sanu has been a reliable fantasy football option thus far, but if fantasy owners are looking for replacements for both Green and Jones, there aren't really two solid options there. Jones fantasy owners have already had a plan in place for the past several weeks, so there's not much to recommend here. Sanu is the guy for the time being.
